Use this quick-start guide to install and set up JancyX.
Important: JancyX cannot be used unless Jancy is running locally on your computer. If the extension cannot maintain connection to a local copy of Jancy, it will be disabled. See Configure Authentication with Jancy for more info.
JancyX runs as a “temporary” Firefox extension. Each time you open Firefox, the extension will need to be reinstalled using the following steps.

Click “Load Temporary Add-on…”
In your file explorer, navigate to the extension directory (”dist”) and select any file in the extension.
Click “Open”. Your extension should now be running, and you should see the JancyX Sidebar interface appear. Click the extension icon (”boxes” icon) in the far left of the browser window to show/hide the JancyX Sidebar. You can also toggle the Sidebar with a keybind.

(If you see the below error message, it means the extension could not authenticate with Jancy. See Configure Authentication with Jancy for help.)
