This how-to is going to be using the Ron’s editor CSV editor to create a proxy CSV. If you do not know what a CSV file is, please visit our creating proxy CSV page found here. The process in this guide will be relatively the same no matter what CSV editor you use.

  1. The image below is a blank CSV in Ron’s editor. In the first row of the CSV, you specify the column headers you will be using. These column headers are how Jancy identifies the information in the in the cells below.

  1. Column headers should be arranged as follows: Name, Host, Port, Username, Password. Only Host and port are required column headers everything else is optional depending on your set up. We are going to be adding all of the available headers in this guide so let's start by adding 5 new cells.

<aside> ℹ️ To add new columns in Ron’s editor, first select “Column” in the application menu bar. Then select “Insert Before”. After you have made the first column, you can right click on the cell and select “Insert Column Before” or “Insert Column After” to create any additional columns.

  1. Now that we have all of the columns, we can add proxies to the CSV. The first row is going to be all of our column headers, the cells beneath each of the column headers are going to be the information you would like to provide. Let's start by creating our first pro. Insert a new row underneath your column headers.

  1. The highlighted section in the image above represents the first proxy. Here we will be adding the information that is to be stored for the proxy and will be identified by the column header above. Next, create a proxy by adding the information in the rows we created.

  1. We have now created a proxy, adding any additional proxies you will only need to repeat steps 4 and 5 listed above.
