Adding Custom Autofill Maps to Jancy

An autofill map provides Jancy with instructions on how to find elements on a page and what information from a profile to put into those fields. Here’s how to add a custom map to your autofill file.

  1. In Jancy, open the autofill map file from the File menu on Windows or the Jancy menu on MacOS.

<aside> 💡 If your OS prompts you for which application/editor to use, just select the application/text editor your most comfortable with. On Windows, Notepad works well and on MacOS, TextEdit is a good choice.

  2. With the file open in your text editor of choice, copy and paste the map into the file.

  3. After you’ve made your changes, save them in the editor, and you should see an OS notification that Jancy has reloaded your autofill map file.
